This Sterling Street property is an early Victorian home in the exclusive area of Knightsbridge. Like so many houses of that period, it originally had a tight entrance hall and two reception rooms with a bleak rear outlook.
This was remedied by installing bespoke bronze framed sliding doors with glazed linen panels to replace the wall running the length of the corridor. The ground floor rear sash window was replaced with a contemporary sliding glass door leading onto a glass terrace and providing natural light to the kitchen below. A green, living wall connects the exterior of the ground floor to the interior of the basement.
