Peel Street is a charming little house in Kensington that has been opened up and redesigned to create a spacious, light and functional place to live. The original staircase involved too many levels, making access to the upper floors awkward. It has been replaced with a beautifully designed timber staircase with walls also clad in timber.
This new structure allowed just enough space beneath for a downstairs loo, further enhancing the use of the ground floor. A window in the kitchen has been replaced with sliding doors opening onto an outside patio area giving a visual connection to the living space. Skylights over the living and dining area keep the light flooding in.
